Converge accelerates enterprise techco shift to power ASEAN’s AI and Cloud surge

Leading Philippine fiber broadband and technology solutions provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. is expanding its enterprise operations to address the growing digital infrastructure demands driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, and the Internet of Things (IoT) across the southeast Asian region.

Speaking at the ASEAN Tech Summit Manila, Grace Jarin-Castillo, Converge SVP and Head of the Converge Global Business Group - Sales and Marketing, outlined the company’s evolution from a traditional broadband provider into an integrated technology company (“techco”).

“Standard broadband isn't a differentiator anymore. Enterprises trying to scale don't just need a fatter pipe—they need an integrated digital ecosystem,” said Castillo. “Right now, there is a real, measurable gap between the infrastructure ASEAN has today and what this next tech wave demands. Enterprises need a complete, foundational digital backbone to compete globally.”

Strategic Infrastructure Assets

The strategy is anchored by the rollout of the Converge National Digital Infrastructure, that incorporates the following core components:

• Fiber and Satellite Connectivity: Over 960,000 kilometers of nationwide pure fiber footprint, complemented by Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite integration.
  
  
• International Subsea Networks: Cross-border capacity via the Bifrost Cable System, the Southeast Asia-Hainan-Hong Kong Express Cable System (SEA-H2X), and the existing City-to-City - East Asia Crossing (C2C-EAC) infrastructure, with international cable landing stations located strategically across the Philippines.
  
  
• Data Center Facilities: High-density, scalable, Tier III facilities in Caloocan and Angeles, augmenting operational centers in Reliance and Clark.
  
  
• Cloud Infrastructure: Readily available to host sovereign data and provide compute power for large enterprises.

Market Expansion & Enterprise Adoption

Converge initiated its structural transition to a techco model in 2025, expanding its dedicated product suites for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), large corporations, and the public sector.

“By unifying connectivity, cloud services, managed IT, and cybersecurity into a single platform, the company has already secured enterprise contracts with top-tier Philippine financial institutions and insurance firms,” said Jarin-Castillo.

The expanded infrastructure positions Converge to capture growing enterprise and public sector demand as regional organizations scale operations internationally.

The annual ASEAN Tech Summit Manila attracted more than 5,000 industry leaders from across the region.
