Davao-based, remote working couple has it all with Converge Netflix Bundle

Remote work has become the norm in many industries and has opened up a world of possibilities for Filipinos everywhere; among these are Davao based couple, Darwin Gromeo and his wife, who depend heavily on their fiber internet connection for work and for entertainment. 

Darwin, who works for a US company as a virtual assistant, notes that he has set roots in Davao; he finished his degree, married, and started a family in Davao. Working remote since the pandemic, Darwin shares his struggle in finding a reliable internet provider. 

“Four years na na Converge ang connection ko. Pero bago no'n, tatlong internet provider na napagdaanan namin. The best ang connection ni Converge, enough ang nagbibigay sa internet speed and nakamura pa kami kasi kinuha namin 'yung Converge Netflix Bundle,” he said. 

The Converge Netflix Bundle, introduced in November 2024, combines a boosted internet connection bundled with a Netflix subscription. “Aside from Netflix, may iba pa pwede kaming gawin. 'Yung TV box, may free channels sa balita, and meron ding app na pang-Youtube para sa mga bata 'pag nabo-bore na sila sa Netflix,” said Darwin. 

The couple though, as much as possible, takes advantage of the bundled Netflix subscription and makes good use of the KidsTV feature of Netflix: 

“Marami silang pinapanood lalo na sa KidsTV. Binabantayan kasi namin pinapanood nila and since bata pa, wala pa silang gadgets and dapat ganon talaga. Kami ni misis, puro K-drama kami,” noted Darwin. 

When it comes to working, Converge proves to be a dependable partner in ensuring he communicates regularly and smoothly with his foreign clients. 

“Mababa ang ping sa Converge, and kung mawala man, mabilis bumalik 'yung connection. For the most part, stable siya. Hindi tulad ng ibang providers,” he noted. 

Having been among the first subscribers of Netflix in Davao since the service began in Mindanao in 2021, Darwin is confident of recommending Converge to neighbors and family in the foreseeable future.
