Harnessing The Power of Fiber, Converge Gives Needed Boost To IT-BPM Industry

Leading fiber broadband provider, Converge ICT Solutions Inc., joined the much anticipated Contact Islands Conference 2022, hosted by the Contact Center Association of the Philippines (CCAP). The non-profit CCAP is the umbrella organization of contact center sectors that help the Philippines maintain its dominance in the global contact center industry.

After a two-and-a-half-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Contact Islands Conference 2022 made a comeback and took place last October 19 to 21 in Aklan at the Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay. The event also facilitated the launch of a six-year industry roadmap and the ascension of CCAP’s new administration. Leaders and luminaries of the Philippine IT-BPM industry gathered for the three-day conference, where pressing issues and developments in the industry stood front and center.

Converge, alongside other ICT trailblazers, participated in the meeting of key stakeholders to discuss trends and issues impacting the IT-BPM industry and how to best tackle such challenges in the face of the post-pandemic reality.

Converge Chief Operations Officer Jesus C. Romero served as a guest speaker in the panel discussion titled “Business Unusual: Ensuring Last Mile Connectivity.” The panel focused on how telecommunications companies can live up to the connectivity challenges of the hybrid work environment.

Moderated by ANC host Mimi Ong, the panel also included Department of Information and Communications Technology Undersecretary Jocelle Batapa-Sigue and representatives from other Philippine telecommunications companies.

Mr. Romero shared that Converge is ready, willing, and able to evolve with the current changing working landscape through its robust expansion of its pure fiber network across the Philippines. He further underscored the company’s commitment to its mission to serve the unserved and underserved through its aggressive infrastructure rollout, particularly in challenging areas like Samar Province and the BARMM region.

In the first half of 2022, Converge was recognized as the Top-Rated Fixed Network in the Philippines by Ookla, a global leader in fixed broadband and mobile network testing, data, and analysis.

Building a future-proof network and developing first-in-the-market cost-efficient connectivity solutions to cater to the increasingly demanding requirements of businesses and their employees remains one of Converge’s top priorities to support the IT-BPM industry. Converge is confident that with its mission of widening broadband inclusivity, it can continue to be an active participant in the digital revolution to help in the Philippines’ economic rebuilding efforts and prepare the nation for a more digital future.
